By Pete Gyrich

BUTLER ROCKS -- Friday, Sep 3,1999 The Nauticom Sports Network Kicked off its season at Butler vs Penn Hills Game. Butler High Stadium was the focus of NSN's season kick-off tailgate party and started rocking at 6:00 pm on Friday, Sep 3, just before the Golden Tornados met Penn Hills a.k.a."The Beast from the East."
The Tornados came up a little short against an always-tough Penn Hills squad, but Tim O'malley, the new Butler athletic director, says that they'll get 'em next time out.

NSN's tailgate kick-off party featured one of the best bands in the 'Burgh --The Dharma Sons-- rockin'-the-house. With Rob Bayne on vocals and guitar, Matt Dudek on bass, Rich Rust on keyboard and Bill Warnick on drums, the Sons performed their original song called, " Streamin', It's how you play the game.
